Nightmare Express...

Photobucket
Thursday evening we went and rode the "Nightmare Express." An extended family that owns a block of six houses puts it on every year close to where we live. I've wanted to take the kids for a few years and finally made sure we went this year. It is a train ride around all the houses that goes through a bunch of tunnels and such and is set up like a spook alley. We went during the "less spooky" hour and it was perfect for the kids. It gets scarier as it gets later. There are over 200 volunteers and it is really well done-I would definitely recommend going! The best part of it is that it's free (they do accept donations for various charities.) They also set it up at Christmas time and we plan on going then as well.

They had music, movies etc. to keep you entertained while waiting in line so the wait wasn't bad at all.

School Halloween Programs...

Photobucket
Thursday the kids had their Halloween parties/programs at school. They got to dress up and sing some songs for us. Again I had Maddy go as "Ben 10" instead of his costume we bought for Halloween this year. He is still shy up on stage but he is starting to sing more and it is so cute!

Photobucket
They walk around the room and do a little costume parade for us before they start their singing program.

Love the wave at the end!

Up next was Avery's class. She was shy just like Maddy was last year and didn't sing at all. However some of the kids in her class were hilarious! We were all laughing throughout! The little girl in the front that is a witch was singing her heart and soul out and let the teacher know if she was unhappy about singing a particular song because she didn't know all the words. Also the little girl in the blue dress, third from your right on the top row blurted out (during the very first song) "Mom, I'm really tired of this!" and sat down all upset for a couple songs. They definitely kept us laughing and when it was over one of the teachers said it was definitely the most entertaining performance they have ever had from a "Sweet Pea" class. Got to love kids!

Little Gym Halloween Party...

Photobucket
Last Saturday we went to the Little Gym Halloween party in Orem. They had cookies and punch, and then a bunch of little carnival games for the kids and of course the gymnastic equipment. We just put together some last minute Halloween costumes because we didn't want the kids to ruin their Halloween costumes for this year. Avery and I were devils and Maddy was Ben 10.

The kids loved playing on all the gymnastics equipment and all the games. Maddy just kept getting in line over and over and left with quite the stash of prizes.

Witches Night Out...

Photobucket
On Friday my sisters Stacy, Shalane and I went to Witches Night Out at Gardner Village. It was our first time going and it was a blast! If you live in the area and have never been I would highly recommend going next year! It was packed will every imaginable type of witch possible. Great for people watching! Some people went all out and it was all about fancy hats. We are definitely raising the bar next year. We got asked several times if we were triplets and even got asked to pose for a picture. The weather was perfect and the atmosphere the same. We lived it up and even did a little bootie shaking... I went home one exhausted mama! Here are quite a few pictures from our night...

Toy Story 3...

Photobucket
Saturday my sister Stacy invited the kids and I to go see Toy Story 3. It was such a cute movie and all the kids loved it and behaved really well except Avery. It is torture for her to have to sit still, even if it is to watch a kid movie. Anyway we survived!

Thriller...

Photobucket
On Wednesday night, Shalane, Stacy and I headed to Odyssey Dance Theatre's performance of Thriller in Provo. It is our third year going, and we love it every year! My favorite dances are "Thriller," "Frankenstein & Frankenstein," "Dem Bones," "River of Blood Dance," and "MJ." Traffic was crazy for some reason and it took us way longer than we planned to get to Provo. We only ended up having like 10 minutes to eat (and we were starving) so we pretty much inhaled a Sensuous Sandwich sub and then ran (all in heals) as fast as we could to the Theatre and made it right on time... phew! We had planned on eating at Sammy's but settled on going there for pie shakes and fries afterwords. It was so yummy and between the three of us we tried the banana cream, blueberry and chocolate cream pie shakes. They really put a piece of pie in the shake, I think it is my new favorite dessert!

My new BFF...

Thanks Shalane and Stacy for another fun evening. Jamie and Jen we are bummed you couldn't come! Thanks Steve for watching the kids and having them in bed when I got home (and for waiting up for me)... you are the man!

Pumpkinland...

Photobucket
Monday my sisters and I took the kids to Pumpkinland at Vineyard Gardens in Orem. We have gone for several years and have made it one of our Halloween season traditions. There is a lot to do for a small entrance fee of $4. It was a perfect Autumn day but the kids were all a bit crazy and each had their own meltdowns for one reason or another. Here are my favorite pictures...
