Stringtown Nightmare Express...
The Thursday before Halloween my sister Jamie, her mother-in-law Renae and I took the kids to the Stringtown Nightmare Express in Lindon. It is a little haunted train ride that goes around a block of houses. It is so well done and best of all it's free (they accept donations of course.) We went last year and the kids loved it again this year. Here are some pictures...

Nightmare Express...
Thursday evening we went and rode the "Nightmare Express." An extended family that owns a block of six houses puts it on every year close to where we live. I've wanted to take the kids for a few years and finally made sure we went this year. It is a train ride around all the houses that goes through a bunch of tunnels and such and is set up like a spook alley. We went during the "less spooky" hour and it was perfect for the kids. It gets scarier as it gets later. There are over 200 volunteers and it is really well done-I would definitely recommend going! The best part of it is that it's free (they do accept donations for various charities.) They also set it up at Christmas time and we plan on going then as well.
They had music, movies etc. to keep you entertained while waiting in line so the wait wasn't bad at all.

Waiting for our turn...
Maddy was excited that he got to sit in the front seat on the train.
Avery just happy to be going on a train ride.

Weekend...
One of Steve's clients is a train fanatic. On Saturday he was having an open house with all of his trains on display. There were seriously trains in almost every room. We took the kids and they loved it! My favorite was the one pictured above. It is an entire room dedicated to this setup. The details are so intricate and amazing and everything has meaning to the family.

Besides decorating for Christmas and going to see the trains we also had a great day Sunday. I went to an awesome RS morning side about the Savior (thanks to everyone who participated-it was very spiritual.) After church I took a nap and then Sunday evening we went to a friends house for dinner and had a great time catching up them (thanks Aaron & Jessica.)
