Forget (Me) Not(s)...

I know I'm a little late posting this but I just had to! I wanted to have it here for future reference and I just really wanted to share it. I just adore President Dieter F. Uchtdorf! I always know we are in for a real treat whenever he is speaking, he just has such a way with words and connecting with people. Anyway, after I got home from Provo Canyon a few Saturday's ago, I attended the General Relief Society Broadcast with a bunch of my ward friends and his talk really spoke to me. I promise promise promise (I can't say enough) you won't be sorry if you take the time to listen to it...

Like Crazy...

Photobucket

There is quite the buzz surrounding this movie, I've seen several different blog posts where people have admitted they can't stop watching the movie trailer(s)... I also can't stop watching :) It comes out October 28th and I can't wait! I know I'll probably end up crying but I'm definitely thinking it's GNO worthy (we can all cry together)... who's in??? Definitely watch the trailers, the first is a shorter version (but done very well) and the second longer...

Go ahead, watch them again... :)

Homemade...

Photobucket
Monday night Stacy invited the kids and I over for dinner. She made the most awesome pasta/meat/veggie dinner with all kinds of veggies from her awesome garden. After dinner she also made some yummy homemade ice cream for dessert, and it turned out fabulous! Seriously, so much better then that stuff you buy at the store!

Of course the kids love sprinkles!

Then the kids were off to do what they do (including getting completely covered in sand from the sandbox-which then required us to throw them all in Stacy's big tub and then put them all in pajamas) and we watched one of our favorite shows...

Bachelorette Party...

Photobucket
Monday evening (after a long day at Chuck E Cheese's), Stacy and I left our kids with their dad's and headed to Jamie's house to watch The Bachelorette Finale. Jamie made us some yummy hot roast beef & cheese sandwiches and Stacy and I brought some chips (with dip & salsa) and treats. We enjoyed each others company as always and if you can't tell we were pretty tired when we took these pictures after it was over...

Man I love these two more than they will ever know... I am so blessed to have them in my life!

Magic Show...

Photobucket
For completing at least 6 crafts/story time's the kids got free tickets to the magic show. The magician did a great job and had everyone laughing.

Can you spot Maddy, Dallin & Claire?

Nice picture of me... lol! As you can probably tell we headed to Seven peaks after.

Airborne Toxic Event Concert...

Photobucket
On Wednesday Steve and I were able to have a fun date night and go to the Airborne Toxic Event Concert at a small club in Salt Lake City called In The Venue. It is my second time seeing them live and I love that lots of people haven't caught on that they are such an awesome band and that they are still playing smaller clubs. So much more fun and intimate in my opinion. They are seriously one of the best live bands I've ever seen... they show up to put on one heck of a show. The bands chemistry is awesome and so is the music. If you haven't already, you should definitely check them out! My sister Shalane and her boyfriend Jamison met us there and we all had a great time.

Supercross...

Photobucket
It's become a tradition for the boys to go to Supercross every Spring when it comes to Utah. Steve has been going with some of his friends for several years and started taking Maddy last year. Every year the weather is miserable and they freeze but Maddy still loves it and looks forward to it. At least this year it didn't rain! They made a day out of it and left around three so they could hit the pits before the races. They also went out to dinner. They had a great time and once again I'm proud of Steve for taking a few pictures...

Maddy took advantage of Randy's binoculars and Steve said he spent a lot of time watching the races through them.

Avery and I decided to have our own little girls night out and went out to dinner at Zupas and then went shopping at Wal Mart (that was at the top of her "want" list... she's easy to please!)

*Steve had the camera so this picture was taken with my phone.*

Matched...

Photobucket
I recently finished reading Matched by Ally Condie. It was a great read! Especially if you liked the "Hunger Games" series. There is a sequel coming out in November this year and the third book in November of 2012. I would definitely highly recommend!

Toy Story 3...

Photobucket
Saturday my sister Stacy invited the kids and I to go see Toy Story 3. It was such a cute movie and all the kids loved it and behaved really well except Avery. It is torture for her to have to sit still, even if it is to watch a kid movie. Anyway we survived!

Thriller...

Photobucket
On Wednesday night, Shalane, Stacy and I headed to Odyssey Dance Theatre's performance of Thriller in Provo. It is our third year going, and we love it every year! My favorite dances are "Thriller," "Frankenstein & Frankenstein," "Dem Bones," "River of Blood Dance," and "MJ." Traffic was crazy for some reason and it took us way longer than we planned to get to Provo. We only ended up having like 10 minutes to eat (and we were starving) so we pretty much inhaled a Sensuous Sandwich sub and then ran (all in heals) as fast as we could to the Theatre and made it right on time... phew! We had planned on eating at Sammy's but settled on going there for pie shakes and fries afterwords. It was so yummy and between the three of us we tried the banana cream, blueberry and chocolate cream pie shakes. They really put a piece of pie in the shake, I think it is my new favorite dessert!

My new BFF...

Thanks Shalane and Stacy for another fun evening. Jamie and Jen we are bummed you couldn't come! Thanks Steve for watching the kids and having them in bed when I got home (and for waiting up for me)... you are the man!

The Greatest Show on Earth...

Photobucket
On Wednesday Steve and I took the kids to the Ringling Bros. And Barnum & Bailey Circus. I have only went once when I was in middle school for a honor roll trip I believe. Anyway I thought it would be fun to go as a family. I got tickets online right when they went on sale and lucked out and got front row. We were in the front row of the closest section to where they come out of the curtain when they enter the arena, so we had a fantastic view of most of the show. I still haven't upgraded to a SLR camera (it's on my wish list) and just had my little Canon point and shoot so the pictures aren't that great. I switched back and forth through a few settings and just when I thought I had it figured out the lighting would completely change. Anyway I did the best I could with what I had and here are my favorite pictures from the night...

I'm always so fascinated by people on stilts!

I really enjoyed this portion of the show... they can do incredible things with their bodies!

By far the kids and Steve's favorite part of the show... motorcycles! Maddy had been asking all night when they were coming out (he saw them on the commercials on TV) and was so excited when they finally came out right before the intermission.

Photobucket
They had seven bikes all going at once in that cage-crazy!

Taking the kids out for a potty break during the intermission.

Photobucket
I couldn't get a good picture of this at all! The lighting was way too bright. They did lots of cool stuff and one of the guys even attempted a quad flip but missed... it has only been attempted like four times in the history of this circus.

The "Ring Master" and "Nano."

This was also really fun... the motorcycle drove right over our heads on this wire while the girl hanging below him did tricks.

The crazy finale... sorry it's so blurry.

Photobucket
I made sure we all ate before we left and had told the kids we weren't buying any food there (I had been warned how ridiculous the prices are.) They did so good and didn't ask for one thing (even though they had to watch the guy next to us buy every single thing that came by for his son... I'm not even kidding!) On our way out we decided to let them pick out a souvenir (they were so excited!) Maddy picked out a motorcycle and Avery picked out a car.

Photobucket
It was very entertaining and we had a great time together!
