Like Crazy...

There is quite the buzz surrounding this movie, I've seen several different blog posts where people have admitted they can't stop watching the movie trailer(s)... I also can't stop watching :) It comes out October 28th and I can't wait! I know I'll probably end up crying but I'm definitely thinking it's GNO worthy (we can all cry together)... who's in??? Definitely watch the trailers, the first is a shorter version (but done very well) and the second longer...

Go ahead, watch them again... :)

My Lil' Pirates...

Thursday the kids were pretending they were pirates. They had the kitchen and living room all decked out like a pirate ship (complete with stairs, canons, and a plank), ocean, treasures, etc. Maddy insisted I take a picture of the two of them so we would remember it. It was pretty cute!

P.S. Don't you love the addition of the white bow on Avery's head!

Farm Country...

Stacy watched my kids for me again Tuesday afternoon (I'm racking up quite the IOU babysitting tab) and then we hung out and had a quick dinner at her house. After dinner we took advantage of $2 Tuesdays at Thanksgiving Point again and took the kids to Farm Country...

Poor Avery is so accident prone and she fell while waiting for her pony ride and cut the bottom of her chin (and scraped her knee) for the second time in the last few days. A few days ago she was playing on a skateboard in the garage and fell and cut her chin as well. She cut it in the exact same spot she had stitches last Summer... that's three injuries in the same spot! I'll be surprised if she makes it to 18 without seeing a plastic surgeon. Both the kids rode the horses by themselves and weren't scared at all which was nice...

Can I have one of these installed at my house please?!?

I think the wagon ride was the highlight for everyone...

To end the evening we headed over to the Deli for ice cream and french fries :)

Seven Peaks #32...

After Jamie had her baby we all ended up taking a break from Seven Peaks... for almost two weeks. Monday was our first day back. I just love the picture above... kind of funny how so many of their personalities are shining through. Maddy refused to look up because the sun was in his eyes which is typical of him. All of our kids are there (as well as Stacy's sister-in-law's kids) except baby Scarlett who was snoozing away.

Avery has always been afraid of going down slides and pretty much refuses. Until today... she decided she wanted to go all by herself and absolutely loves it now. She went over and over and over and over (along with Maddy of course)...

Maddy had a small little injury... that hurt really bad :) He was going down one of the slides on his belly and somehow managed to get a piece of the actual slide (paint and such) lodged underneath his big toenail... ouch! He was really upset and I had to play doctor with some toenail clippers and get it out. As soon as I cut the nail back enough to pull it out it started bleeding which made him freak out even more. We went to first aid and got him a band aid and then I happened to find a little blue "Moshi Monster" sitting in the window seal of the gift shop... I handed it to him and he perked right up. I guess it was meant to be :)

Sweet Scarlett... only 11 days old. I couldn't believe Jamie already wanted to come!

Avery(4): "Mom, why do you have boobs?"
Me: "When you grow up and become a big girl you get boobs."
Avery(4): "Mom, I'm already getting boobs..."

She & I...

I went to see Jamie and my niece Scarlett in the hospital after she was born but I didn't dare hold her because my kids had been sick. I finally held her this past Friday... :)

Cupcakes and PJ Party...

Wednesday Stacy watched my kids for me. I stopped and grabbed McDonald's Happy Meals (which is a huge treat for the kids) for them and my nephew Jace and then after eating they decided to make and decorate cupcakes. Isn't Stacy such an awesome babysitter... the kids loved it, and quickly decorated them so that they could eat some.

This picture is too funny... Cole was perfectly happy eating some steamed carrots :)

Then the kids had a pajama party and watched some cartoons. Poor Cole didn't get to join in on the pajama and cartoon fun, he had bedtime. And yes I realize Avery is wearing boy jammies and Maddy's are mismatched... that's how we roll :) We were also there Tuesday evening which made it the third night in a row for the kids... Thanks so much Stacy! I owe you big time!

Homemade...

Monday night Stacy invited the kids and I over for dinner. She made the most awesome pasta/meat/veggie dinner with all kinds of veggies from her awesome garden. After dinner she also made some yummy homemade ice cream for dessert, and it turned out fabulous! Seriously, so much better then that stuff you buy at the store!

Then the kids were off to do what they do (including getting completely covered in sand from the sandbox-which then required us to throw them all in Stacy's big tub and then put them all in pajamas) and we watched one of our favorite shows...

Stonehaven Dentist Party...

Stacy got an invite to a former dentist's fun Summer party so we took the kids to it at one of the local pools (Jamie had her baby that day or she probably would have been there too.) It was in the evening and the weather cleared up just in time. There were complimentary hot dogs, cookies, kettle corn and water as well as free admission into the park, live entertainment, tons of drawings for really cool prizes and even Rapunzel and Jack Sparrow attended... (although my kids wouldn't get their pictures taken with them.) It was an awesome party and a really fun evening...

Usually Jamie always lucks out and wins drawings when we go places but since she wasn't there I guess it was Stacy, my nephew Jace and Avery's turn... seriously we lucked out!

Stacy made out with $100 in gift cards to Kohl's (and she insisted I take $50 so we could go shopping together) and Jace won this cute bat and ball. Thanks so much Stacy! You are so sweet and thoughtful and it was fun to shop for us for once :)

Avery won a paddle ball set and of course Maddy was really sad that he didn't win and so the girl gave him some little Crayon bubbles (you can see him holding them inside his blue towel)...

Thanks for the invite (and gift card) Stacy, we had a fabulous time!

The kids and I ended up going to the same pool the next night for a Ward BBQ/Pool Party which was also fun (sorry no pictures.)

Love her name, love her...

Jamie is quite the trooper... she was up all night the night before with a house full of sickies (same bug my we had) and had baby Scarlett within 5 minutes of getting to the hospital the following afternoon, no medicine or anything! Guess she really wanted to be like me :)

Sick Kids...
