Lehi Rodeo...

Photobucket
On Friday my Dad took me to the Lehi Rodeo. I'm not a huge Rodeo fan but I haven't been to one since before I was married so it was actually pretty fun!

Photobucket
My sister Stacy and my Dad and her goofy husband Justin. She couldn't get him to take a serious picture. Doesn't she look so cute in her hat!?!

Photobucket
We did get rained on... for about an hour but it was still fun and we stuck it out.

Photobucket
The best part of a rodeo... bull riding! Check out that bull's eye... scary!

Photobucket
There was of course fun entertainment including the CRAZY clown Liesel, a little kids dance off and some super cool motocross jumping. That was probably my favorite part. The picture above is the best we could get. Here are two really short videos of the motocross...

This last one is just the very last jump which was a backflip...

A bunch of Stacy's family also went. It was nice to have a fun night out and get a break from the kids. Thanks Dad for taking me! Thanks Steve for staying home with the kids!

The Bachelorette...

Photobucket
I think the best word to describe this episode is DRAMA! So much Drama! Two former guys returned(Jake and Ed.) Jake returned to tell Jillian Wes had a girlfriend(which of course Wes denied) and Ed returned because he realized he made a big mistake and wants a second chance. I thought all the home town dates went pretty well except Wes's of course. I can't believe he is still there... he is a horrible liar but I guess Jillian is to smitten to see through him. Seriously! With the return of Ed that meant Jillian had to send two of the six remaining guys home at the rose ceremony.

Photobucket
I was a bit surprised that Reid got the first rose. I like him but am worried because he clearly has commitment issues and can't seem to figure things out by himself. He seems to be getting a lot of pressure because he is turning 30. Which is no reason to run out and get married.

Photobucket
On Michael's home town date we found out that he has a twin. Of course they tried to fool Jillian by switching around. She didn't fall for it and figured it out right away. Michael was one of the two that got sent home during the rose ceremony. Although I didn't think he was right for Jillian I really felt bad for him! He liked her so much and it was really sad when he got sent home.

Photobucket
It appeared to me that Kiptyn comes from a pretty rich family. His Mom really grilled Jillian but I think she handled it pretty well. I also thought the whole taped up hot tub was pretty funny. Of course they took a dip later on. I still think they have great chemistry but I hope there is more to their relationship then that.

Photobucket
Jesse took Jillian to check out the family winery. His brother was a bit strange and I thought it was fun how they all ended up jamming together. Jesse also got sent home and I think he was really hurt but more the type to try and not show it.

Photobucket
Wes, Wes, Wes... what more to say besides wake up Jillian! All the signs of a dirt bag are there. Hopefully he will get sent home next week!

Photobucket
I was glad Ed came back! I'm interested to see how things go on next weeks dates in Spain. Maybe he is playing the cards just right... leave her for a bit so she realizes how much she wants him and then come back when there is so much drama going on making him look even better. Let me all know what you think.

Happy Birthday Mom...

Photobucket
Today is my Mom's birthday and I just wanted to wish her a Happy Birthday! We had a little surprise party for her when we all got together for Father's Day. She was surprised and we had a great time. We had a BBQ at Stacy's house(which she decorated) and Jamie made her a yummy lemon cake.

Music Monday: Michael Jackson Tribute...

Photobucket
I'm sure you all know by now that the King of Pop passed away on Thursday, 6/25/2009 at the age of 50. There is no denying that he was an Icon and had a huge influence on music and dance. Some of my earliest memories associated with music and dance he is a part of. Check out this AWESOME complete video library here.

First Day at the Pool...

Photobucket
On Wednesday my sisters and I(and kids) finally made it to the pool for the first time this year. :) We decided to check out the new Lindon Aquatics Center. It was nice and we had a fun time! There is a lazy river, a kids pool, lap pool, Flowrider, and a water slide. I'm sure I'll be found there throughout the summer.

Photobucket
My hot sister's Jamie and Stacy with their kids. Don't they look great! I can't believe Jamie's baby is less than a month old and she already looks that good!

Photobucket
Avery had a blast! Seriously! She had a big old permagrin on her face the whole time and was splashing like crazy... nonstop.

Photobucket

Photobucket
Maddy was so busy running around that this was the only picture we got of him. The water slide was pretty big and I thought Maddy would be afraid to go down it but he really wanted to so I went with him and put him on my lap. It was so fun(and faster than I thought it would be). Before we even got to the bottom he said "Mommy I want to go again." So we went again and the second time I slid back onto my back(and was still trying to hold Maddy up) towards the bottom and couldn't get back up before we hit the pool so I got pretty wet.

Photobucket
Maddy and Avery's cousins.

Photobucket
I had to post this one because you can see her cute little ponytail. I've put her hair into two pigtails a lot but this was the first time with a ponytail. I also think the back of her swimsuit is really cute. :)

Photobucket
Everything went pretty smoothly until it was time to leave. Maddy did not want to leave and threw probably the biggest tantrum he has ever thrown. :( Anyway I had lots of fun... thanks Stacy and Jamie for a fun time!

Father's Day...

Photobucket
Love this picture! We had a great Father's Day. After church my family got together for a BBQ at my sister Stacy's house. We celebrated Father's Day and my Mom's birthday which is next week. We threw her a little surprise party because she has always wanted one. :) I have a few pictures I will post later.

Photobucket
I traced the kids hands and then helped them write the words. Then they colored them for Steve.

Photobucket
Avery was so cute and was trying to say each word as I said it while helping her write it.

SYTYCD 5.3...

Last night the top eight couples performed. Some of the excitement included a new partnership(Kayla & Kupona-who I thought did really well together), sexy costumes and Phillip ripping his pants.

Photobucket
My gold medal goes to Randi & Evan's Contemporary Routine choreographed by Mia Michaels. It was performed to Koop Island Blues by Koop feat. Ane Brun. I thought this routine was so fun! It was all about a sexy girl's butt and a guy that is quite taken with her/it. I knew I was going to love it because I was laughing just when they were showing the rehearsal footage. I watched it again when Steve came home and laughed even more. Check it out here...

Photobucket
My silver medal goes to Melissa & Ade's Rumba, choreographed by Tony Meredith. It was performed to Emotion by Destiny's Child. I really love the Rumba when it's done justice. I thought they did a great job and it was very passionate. These two are a force to be reckoned with for sure! Check it out here...

Photobucket
My bronze medal goes to Janette & Brandon's Hip Hop Routine choreographed by Dave Scott. It was performed to What a World by Common. It as about a rocker girl facing off with a hip-hop dude. Along with the judges I was pleasantly surprised at how well Brandon did at hip-hop since he is a contemporary guy. Check it out here...

I think any of the other five couples could end up in the bottom three. There are still no clear leaders(as far as couples go imo.) What do you all think? Who were your favorites?

Wedding Reception...

Photobucket
Steve's really good friend Kelly got married on Friday. The reception was held at The La Caille up Little Cottonwood Canyon. I had never been there before and it was SO beautiful!!! Seriously!!! If you ever have the opportunity to go you should! There were bridges, ponds with swans, peacocks(the kids were so excited about this), rabbits all around. It was just as beautiful inside! The food was SO yummy(I definitely exceeded my daily caloric intake) and we had tons of fun! Steve got to see lots of his friends and the kids were pretty behaved. The bride and groom were stunning as well! I was kicking myself for leaving my camera in the car! One of Steve's friends insisted on taking our picture on this bridge with her camera phone. I think it turned out pretty good! Thanks Sandi! Most importantly it will always remind me of the fun night we had!

The Bachelorette...

Photobucket
There were eight guys when this episode started. When it was over there were 5. Finally a decent cut! The majority of this episode took place on a train ride through Canada. The scenery was really beautiful! After this episode I was even more bummed that Ed was gone... hopefully as suspected by many he will make a surprise comeback. Possibly the one that proposes to her?

Photobucket
Robby had the first one on one date and got sent home. I thought that they would have more chemistry on their date then they did. I was OK with him going home but thought the way they did it was pretty brutal. He basically got kicked off the train with all the other guys watching.

Photobucket
Jake also got sent home. I wasn't surprised at all. After their first initial date I never really saw chemistry again. They almost always seemed awkward to me. I also still think there is something off about him. I'm kind of glad that he is coming back to try and let Jillian know what Wes is really up to.

Photobucket
Tanner finally got the boot! His whole display of what he sleeps in was enough to scare any girl off! I never really saw more than a friend connection with them anyway.

The five remaining guys get to bring Jillian to their stomping ground for the hometown dates on next weeks episode. Here they are(in order of my preference)...

Photobucket
Kiptyn is still my favorite. I just kind of have a gut feeling that he is the one that has problems on the overnight dates... :( I hope I'm wrong! Jillian also gave him the rose on the group date. So he didn't have to sweat it out during the rose ceremony.

Photobucket
I was a little surprised at what Reid was really like. Not necessarily in a bad way, just didn't see it coming. I still like him though!

Photobucket
Jesse still seems like a super nice guy to me.

Photobucket
I think ultimately she will send Michael home because he is so young.

Photobucket
Wes really is a jerk! Too bad he's not a smart jerk! If he were smart then he wouldn't be opening his mouth and telling America how big of a jerk he is. He would just keep putting the moves on Jillian and attempt to make America fall in love with him. Now that would be a good plan... then maybe he would sell records. But instead he chooses to show his true colors... and they aren't pretty! I really feel bad for Jillian when she finds out what kind of a person he really is because she is really into him and he is playing like he is really into her. :P

I'm excited for the hometown dates next week. It can really change what you think of the guys after seeing them in their comfort zones. So what do you all think?

Strawberry Days...

Photobucket
On Friday my sisters and I took the kids to Strawberry Days in Pleasant Grove. First we went to Huck Finn Days. There was a bunch of stuff for the kids to do and it was all free. The weather was great(finally) and we had a fun time! I had a bunch of fun playing around in Photoshop Lightroom with some of these pictures. I really love how they turned out! The picture above cracks me up because Avery has her mouth full(she was eating a donut) and Maddy was yelling "cheese" and you can totally tell by their facial expressions. I put it in an aged photo setting and love how it turned out. You will see several others in this same setting on this post. :)

Photobucket
Don't you love how I use my single stroller as a double stroller!?!

Photobucket
First we went to the fish pond. Maddy got a little basketball notebook and Avery got a little slinky like thing.

Photobucket
Next we went to the bubble blowing. The kids were trying to learn how to blow bubbles but couldn't quite figure it out. :(

Photobucket
Bean Bag Toss and Tic Tac Toe.

Photobucket
Donut Walk.

Photobucket

Photobucket
Maddy and I with our donuts. :)

Photobucket
They also had a pond for real fishing(we opted to not do that because it was more like swimming going on and we didn't want to deal with wet kids) and pony rides. We didn't do the pony rides either because the line was super long. The kids had fun playing on the playground before we left. I love the picture of Avery in the top right corner going down the slide! She seriously has no fear. It cracks me up how she is still holding onto her doll!

Photobucket
My niece Lola was just snoozing away again.

Photobucket
After Huck Finn Days we headed over to the carnival for a little while. Of course I had to get my Ferris Wheel picture! I love how bright and colorful this picture is!

Photobucket
We just had to try the Strawberries & Cream! So yummy!

Photobucket
I really like this picture in Black & White as well so I posted them both. :)

Photobucket
We decided to take our glasses off. :)

Photobucket
My favorite picture of the day! Love how this turned out!

Photobucket
Loved it in Black & White as well. :)

Photobucket
Maddy and his cousin Dallin were running around being crazy as usual. They started wrestling on the ground and Maddy laid right on a big pile of strawberries that someone had spilled. It as all over the back of his shirt. What was I thinking having him wear a white tee shirt to a carnival?

Photobucket
The rides were a bit pricey so I let Maddy choose one ride and he chose the train ride. If you look on the back of his shoulder you can see part of the strawberry mess on his shirt. We had a fun time and I walked around and checked out some of the booths. Avery only has one pair of shoes(sandals) that fit her so I found some really cute white shoes for her as well as some really cute headbands for way cheap. I also finally found a hat for me that looks somewhat decent on me. I have a hard time finding hats that don't look funny on me! :( Thanks Jamie and Stacy for another fun outing!
