Provo Tabernacle Fire...

Photobucket
As many of you know the beautiful Provo Tabernacle burned and was destroyed early Friday morning. It was such a beautiful landmark as well as a religious gathering place for many. I have attended various meetings there over time. It's so sad... I will miss seeing it when I'm driving through that part of town. You can read KSL's breaking news report here. Recovered from the ashes was this painting of "The Second Coming" by Harry Anderson...

You can't deny that the "burn pattern" is truly remarkable. I love the look on the fireman's face. You can read more about the recovered painting here.

Here is some amazing video footage of the damage...

Here is some video footage taken during the fire...

I'm sure you all know by now that the King of Pop passed away on Thursday, 6/25/2009 at the age of 50. There is no denying that he was an Icon and had a huge influence on music and dance. Some of my earliest memories associated with music and dance he is a part of. Check out this AWESOME complete video library here

Avery among the 1.5 million...

Avery was among the 1.5 million University of Utah patients that had their medical records stolen. Did any of you hear about this on the news? You can read more about it here. While in the NICU and shortly after she came home she had eye exams done there-until her ROP was completely gone. I got the first letter about a week or so ago. This letter explained that her records were among those stolen and that at that time they weren't sure if these records included her social security number. I would be notified by a second letter if her social security number was on these records. Today I got the second letter confirming that these records did have her social security number on them. It also explained that they would be paying for credit monitoring for her for the next year. Shortly after I got the letter today I saw on the news that they had been found and that the professionals were pretty sure that the people that stole them didn't even know what they had and that they don't think they even knew how to access the information. They were turned in by someone that wanted the $1000.00 reward. I'm so glad they were found and that the situation didn't turn into a huge ordeal with millions of cases of identity fraud.
