Stringtown Nightmare Express...

Photobucket
The Thursday before Halloween my sister Jamie, her mother-in-law Renae and I took the kids to the Stringtown Nightmare Express in Lindon. It is a little haunted train ride that goes around a block of houses. It is so well done and best of all it's free (they accept donations of course.) We went last year and the kids loved it again this year. Here are some pictures...

Cornbelly's...

Photobucket
A couple weeks ago we headed to Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point for the first time. We have always wanted to go, but it is rather pricey, so we never have. Stonehaven Dental Office had a party there for their clients and covered our admission. Sweet huh....yes and no. We got there around 6:30pm, and it was rather cold (yes I'm lame and was wearing flip flops.) The first half hour was okay, but then it started to get dark and all of our kiddos were wanting to do different things and the place was jam packed...seriously! It was a little overwhelming and I ended up losing Maddy for about 30 minutes. So, after rounding up all the kids we left shortly after getting there with a few kiddo's crying because they wanted to stay.

We are just big kids at heart!

Witches Night Out...

Photobucket
A few Fridays ago a couple of my sisters and some friends and I all went to Witches Night Out at Gardner Village. Stacy and her sister-in-laws really decked out their hats this year. I just didn't have time, but next year Jamie and I are going to show them up.

Photobucket
We are going to tweak these frumpy costumes too!

Photobucket
I wonder how many frogs I will have to kiss before finding my prince!?! HAHA!

Photobucket
These witches had themed costumes with hats and brooms. They seriously looked so awesome, the picture just doesn't do them justice. They were all themed, candy corn, skulls etc., and their make up was so awesome.

Witch Royalty...the Queen, Caramel. I love her costume.

Estrada Farms Pumpkin Patch...

Photobucket
This year we thought it would be fun to try a new pumpkin patch so we took the kids to Estrada Farms Pumpkin Patch. It was the perfect day too.

The Corn Box was a big hit. The kids loved burying each other and digging for treasures.

They had a train ride that was quite bumpy. In fact Stacy and her kids took it 5 times. I think she was hoping to go into labor.

Harvest Moon Hurrah...

Photobucket
Over three weeks ago (yes I'm that behind) we went to Spanish Fork's Harvest Moon Hurrah. Doesn't the name make it sound so fun?! It was a little chilly but the kids had lots of fun.

The kids had a punch pass and when they completed 9 activities they got to get a treat.

We got to go on a wagon ride and these cute girls played and sang for us.

I had just had my hair done and the toner that was used gave me some unplanned purple highlights... appropriate for Halloween-no? Although I have intentionally had purple highlights in the past, I did have it fixed the next day :-)

To end the day the kids got balloons. Us moms hate waiting in line and we always can't way to see which kid has a meltdown when one of them pops. Today only Avery's came apart and the clown quickly fixed it for her. Phew!

His First Visit From the Tooth Fairy's...

Photobucket
Maddy's front bottom tooth had been loose for almost two weeks when it fell out. I had bought him a battery operated toothbrush (Transformers of course) and he was having a little too much fun brushing his teeth practically non-stop. He was brushing away when it fell out. He was pretty excited! He was pretty cute that night while in bed. He told me that he hoped the Tooth Fairy didn't put rocks under his pillow and said that he thought he saw sparkles that the Tooth Fairy left behind.
Photobucket
The Tooth Fairy's made sure he made out pretty good. He was so sweet and gave $1 to Avery. I had bought some new hangers for his clothes and hung them in his closet and he didn't see them until that morning and so he insists that the Tooth Fairy brought him money AND new hangers. Too funny! His other bottom middle tooth is loose, so the Tooth Fairy's might be visiting again soon...

Maddy's First Testimony...

Photobucket
On Fast Sunday almost a month ago a bunch of kids in our ward were bearing their testimonies. Maddy asked me why he never got to do that. I was quite surprised because he's usually pretty shy in those kinds of situations. I told him he could if he wanted and he practically dragged me up there to help him he was so excited. I made him wait a few minutes because there were a couple people waiting to bear their testimonies and I didn't want to leave Avery by herself for very long. I had been asked to give the opening prayer and so I made my second trip up there with him. Anyway, he did a great job (with my help) and wasn't scared at all. His first testimony went a little like this...

"I want to bear my testimony.
I know the church is true.
I know the scriptures are true.
I know Jesus loves us.
I love my family.
I say this in the name of Jesus Christ amen."

I was bummed Steve wasn't there to hear him but we called him and let him know, he was so proud of him.

Crazy/Busy Slacker...

So I know I've been a huge blog slacker lately! There just hasn't been enough time in the day to get everything done. Life has been crazy busy for me but it's good, life is good! I'm hoping to get back on track this week.

Forget (Me) Not(s)...

I know I'm a little late posting this but I just had to! I wanted to have it here for future reference and I just really wanted to share it. I just adore President Dieter F. Uchtdorf! I always know we are in for a real treat whenever he is speaking, he just has such a way with words and connecting with people. Anyway, after I got home from Provo Canyon a few Saturday's ago, I attended the General Relief Society Broadcast with a bunch of my ward friends and his talk really spoke to me. I promise promise promise (I can't say enough) you won't be sorry if you take the time to listen to it...
