School Valentines Parties...

Photobucket
The kids were so excited for their school Valentines parties last Tuesday. They made cute heart cookies in their cooking classes and even got to bring one home for Steve and I :) They had parties in their home room classes and came home with some cute valentines and yummy treats.

Our Valentines Day...

Photobucket
We all had a great Valentines Day this year! Steve had these beautiful flowers delivered to me at the house and sent me the sweetest email. He also sent me a hilarious e-card... I will just leave it at that ;) I gave him a gift certificate for 6 laser hair removal treatments... before you laugh just know that he was excited about it because he spends so much time shaving most of his body. I also made this card for him online at Pro Digital Photos and absolutely loved how it turned out so I thought I'd share it...

Steve also arranged for a babysitter to come over that evening so we could have a date night. We had dinner at my favorite restaurant, Cafe Paesan (you have GOT to try their new Steak flatbread sandwich-seriously to die for) and then went shopping for a frame for the family picture we want to have enlarged.

Earlier in the day the kids and I walked around the neighborhood and delivered Valentines from the kids to some of their friends. It was so cute to see their reactions.

Thanks Steve (and kiddos) for such a wonderful Valentines Day! I love you so much and am so glad your mine forever...

My little Valentine's...

Photobucket
The kids have both been so excited about Valentines Day this year. They picked out their own Valentines (Hello Kitty for Avery and Scooby Doo for Maddy) and got them all ready for their friends. Maddy got lots of practice writing his name and wrote his name on all of them. They took some to their friends and teachers in their church class and to some neighbor friends as well as their school friends. I snapped these pictures of them before heading to church on Sunday because they looked so cute. They insisted on doing this for one of the pictures...

I love them so so much and am so happy they're mine forever!

Valentines Cupcakes...

Photobucket
Last Wednesday my sisters (Jamie & Stacy) and I got together at Jamie's house for a playdate. In the spirit of Valentines Day Jamie made Red Velvet cupcakes for the kids to decorate. Of course they had lots of fun decorating (and eating) them. Us big girls had lots of fun catching up... It'd been a while.

Thanks Jamie for having us and making the cupcakes!

My Yummy Valentines Day...

Photobucket
My Valentines Day started early when Steve surprised me with these flowers the night before. I had been having one of those "blah" days so it really cheered me up! Aren't they so pretty! Thanks Steve, you made my day! I love you!

Photobucket
Early Valentines morning(around 12:30am) when I finally got off the computer to head to bed I found these waiting for me on the kitchen counter. I gave Steve some suggestions as to what I wanted for Valentines Day and he seemed to have listened. :) I have of course read the whole Twilight series but had just borrowed the books from my sisters(thanks Jamie and Stacy) , so when I saw that the box set had come out I knew I wanted it. Inside the little envelope is a tanning pass. I wanted that so I can get my pasty self a little bit of a tan(my reward for working out so hard.)

Photobucket
This doesn't really have anything to do with my Valentines Day but I had to post it to go along with my Twilight books because I think it is pretty hot and I'm sure most of you will enjoy it! My Valentines Day might have started just as hot...hehe...lets just say I gave Steve some "unmentionables" that came packaged like this...

What was in the mysterious bag...I'll never tell... :)

I also got to sleep in. :) Steve got up and played Mr. Mom before heading to work. He then brought home my favorite, french toast from Kneaders. If you haven't tried it, you must! As yummy as it looks it tastes even yummier! Of course I had to share with Maddy and he ate most of my strawberries and whipping cream. Steve laughed when I took the picture but who cares...it's all about the blog right?

Maddy and Avery got their first Valentine in the mail this year. Their cousin Jace sent it. This is a picture of Maddy opening it(he was so excited he got a letter in the mail-he has watched way too many episodes of "Blues Clues", and loves getting the mail with me) and the other side is a picture of the Valentine. Isn't my nephew Jace the cutest! Thanks Jace(and Mommy!) Maddy surprised me today and wanted to whisper secrets into my ear. He has never done this before and climbed up on my lap and while moving my hair said "Mommy move your hair back here(behind my ear), I want to tell you a secret." He then proceeded to tell me he wanted another train(he is a bit obsessed with trains lately.) With a big smile on both of our faces I whispered back, "I love you Maddy." He then whispered back, "I love trains Mommy." It was the cutest thing ever! It was such a special/fun moment that we shared. We whispered more secrets back and forth while I was rocking him before his nap. I can't believe how fast he is growing up! He surprises me every day with what he says and does!

I also got a really nice phone call from my Dad(and Mom.) I love you both! I also got lots of love from my Facebook friends. I was even able to take a long nap. :)

I ended my day by eating a yummy sweet pork salad(another one of my favorites) from Costa Vida (again sharing with Maddy-he ate most of my tortilla strips) and watching "P.S. I Love You." I had been warned that it was a tear jerker so I chose to watch it by myself(after putting Avery to bed and while Steve was out shopping and running errands with Maddy and Dan), so I could cry as much as I wanted without feeling stupid and trying not to cry. I laughed and cried through the whole thing and loved it! If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it! It makes you really think about how important the people in your life are and to not take them for granted. You never know when today will be your last day with them.

Here is a little Valentine collage I made for those special people that I'm blessed to have in my life and love so much....you know who you are! :)
