I LOVE this song! It is off the "Dear John" movie (which I loved) soundtrack. Glen Hansard (member of "The Frames") & Marketa Irglova teamed up and became "The Swell Season." If you like their music you should definitely check out the movie "Once." The music on that soundtrack is done by them (they also have the lead roles in the movie.)
