I'm trying really hard to fight the urge to hit the tanning beds this year. I know it's not good for my skin, especially since I'm the perfect example of the high risk category (fair skinned, blue eyed blond.) Every year I go through this debate in my head (cause I really do love the tan and relaxation that you can get so quickly from a tanning bed) and usually give in. This year I decided (at the recommendation of my hair stylist Brooke) to try the Fake Bake self tanner. She swears by this stuff (and says she has tried tons of different self tanners over the years.) It's the same brand she uses to spray tan people. I must admit I was nervous about trying it (I've only ever tried one other self tanner and it was one of those you see on an infomercial on TV and it was like 10 years ago), but I went for it. It took me a couple times to feel confident in applying it but I'm really loving it so far. I love the color and haven't had problems with streaking. She picked it up for me at the beauty supply store but I Googled it and saw several different places you can get it for about 15 dollars (it retails for around $29.) It's a 6 oz. bottle and comes with gloves to apply it with. I would recommend it if you are wanting that tan but don't want to damage your skin.
