Sick Kids and a "New Addition to Our Family"...

I was hoping that the wintertime sickness was going to pass us up this year. Well it didn't and both the kids have been sick this week. They have the yucky, runny nose, fever and cough stuff. I also woke up feeling a little under the weather myself today and I am hoping it doesn't get too bad. Maddy has pretty much camped out on the couch, only getting up to go to the bathroom. Avery has been pretty much the same. Not her normal spunky cruising around self(and actually wants to be held.) Here our a couple pictures of them I took.

What is it about sleeping kids? This hardly ever happens. He was just so tired from not sleeping well at all that he just couldn't stay awake any longer. Don't you just want to cuddle up to him?

Avery has been so attached to her doll while she has been sick and has a complete meltdown if I take it away from her even when I'm feeding her. Now if I could just get her to keep the clothes on her doll and herself for that matter. I'm a little worried because I have gone in to get her from her nap a few times and her pajamas are unzipped to her waist and her diaper undone. :( Maddy has never done this but I guess they are all different right? I just hope she doesn't get too creative! :(

So did I have any of you thinking I was pregnant? This is the new addition to our family. I guess I'm on one this week...in a joking mood. Really though...what do you think of him? Steve brought him home today and insists that he is going to be placed right on our computer desk. That is not what I want staring at me while I'm playing on the computer! When I told him of my disapproval he said he could make it the center piece on our kitchen table. As if that is any better! Maddy was pretty funny about it though. He kept flexing and saying he was flexing like the muscle man. Wish me luck with this thing...it just might end up on one of your doorsteps if I get desperate!

Strange that new "ornament" reminds me of the "lamp" the father was so proud of in the Christmas Story movie :D

Stephanie, Thanks so much for your comment. It totally made my day! Although I have to tell you that if you get closer there are signs of motherhood all over my belly. I try to think of them as sentimental markings of my children that will be with me forever. Some days that works and others it doesn't, but oh well! Thanks again, you are always so sweet and I love all your comments! I haven't been very good about posting or reading others lately, which I'm sure you've noticed. But I loved catching up on yours. Um...yeah the centerpiece would not be happening at my house either. Tell him to put it out in the garage, or better yet...tell him to put it in his aquarium. Put some snorkeling gear on him and he could be a scuba diver swimming the deep blue. There you go, problem solved! :) I hope you all are feeling better. Lets get together. Talk to you soon!

Poor sick kiddo's! Hope everyone is starting to feel better. Good luck with the muscle man. Did he actually pay money for that thing? Can you put it down in your little home gym? If not, go with the Christmas Story thing. Didn't the Mom accidentally break it on purpose?

hahahaha! i had to deal with that thing in my bedroom for the last few days til steve came to get it! and the first thing i said when i saw it was.... "we are not keeping that here!" i was really relieved when john told me steve wanted it, cause i didn't have to argue about it. sorry you're the one who got stuck with it. you're a nicer wife than me. make him keep it in the home gym!

Why does he have a testicle chin?
