Stories from the Cemetery...

A couple weeks ago for our weekly outing my sisters and I headed to the cemetery. You are probably wondering why the cemetery? Well we figured with Halloween just around the corner what better way to get in the Halloween spirit. While we were there we encountered some very interesting characters and I want to share their stories...

Photobucket

The first character we encountered is one that you would expect to find in a cemetery. She was the most beautiful sweet little Angel that had light radiating around her. She was wearing the most beautiful white dress that cascaded completely to the ground. As in all the stories that I have ever heard, she had the most beautiful wings and halo that were as white as could be.

The next character we encountered was a little devil. He wasn't your typical scary little devil. He seemed very sad and we noticed him lingering around a specific tombstone. His body language(or lack of), led us to conclude he was mourning the loss of someone very special.

We also encountered two little pirates. They told us they had become bored with the old fashioned way of searching for treasures in the ocean. They decided the next best place would be the cemetery. They had heard that sometimes people are buried with their most valuable possessions. What more could a pirate ask for?

Photobucket

As expected they were very animated and we were very careful to keep a close eye on our belongings while they were in our presence. You never know when a pirate will turn on you right?

That last character we encountered was one we would have never expected to find in a cemetery. He was the cutest little rooster with big blue eyes.

Photobucket

He claimed he was just tired of being all couped up and loved his new found freedom.

Among the excitement we noticed the little angel quietly wandering around stopping at each tombstone as if she were personally watching over them. We saw that she was very drawn to the sad little devil and quickly made her way toward him. At first the devil didn't seem to want to be bothered and was very hesitant in accepting any condolences from the little angel. This little angel wasn't about to give up on the little devil. She truly believed that everyone had a good heart and she really wanted to comfort the little devil.

Eventually the little devil came around and they were inseparable in no time.

As we quietly left the now peaceful cemetery we couldn't help but overhear this beautiful melody the little angel was singing..."Spend all your time waiting. For that second chance. For a break that would make it okay. There’s always one reason. To feel not good enough. And it’s hard at the end of the day. I need some distraction. Oh beautiful release. Memory seeps from my veins. Let me be empty. And weightless and maybe. I’ll find some peace tonight. You’re in the arms of the angel. May you find some comfort there."

That was adorable!!! I love that you dressed Maddy and Avery like the devil and an angel - so creative! Your sister did a great job on the costumes.

P.S. I wish I could have snagged one of those tickets to Twilight at midnight! That would have been uber-fun. However...I am far away in Indianapolis anyway.
