Our Private Carnival...

Photobucket
Saturday Jamie and I took the kids to Trafalga (formerly Liberty Land) in Lehi. They are running a promotion for the month of July and if you have a Seven Peaks pass then you can go for free. We were all over that! When we got there we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves... there was only one other family. It was so nice not to have to wait in line at all. The employees would pretty much just follow us from ride to ride.

For how small this roller coaster is, it is super fast! It was so funny watching the expressions on the kids faces!

Maddy was excited to drive the car by himself but couldn't quite figure out how to stop.

Maddy's favorite part of the day was the miniature golfing. I was surprised he got the ball all the way over this first hill on his first try. Maybe we have a golfer in the making?

Photobucket
Avery would either throw her ball or just drop it in the hole.

Probably the least favorite ride of the day... except for Claire she was giggling. It was a really jerky bouncy "frog" ride and Avery and Dallin didn't like it at all.

Photobucket
Lola was just happy to be crawling all over the place and exploring.

It seemed weird not having to pay-but we're not complaining! All in all it was a fun day except for the food (which we did pay for) ... not so good (at least the hot dogs!) Next time we will be packing a lunch.

The Sixteenth Time...

Photobucket
Friday we mostly hung out by the Wave Pool but we also went in the Lazy River and hung out at the baby pool area.

Photobucket
My niece Claire brought this crown so the girls had fun playing with it.

Music Monday: It Can't Rain all the Time..

This is an older song-it came out the year I graduated from High School (1994.) We caught the end of the movie "The Crow" on TV the other day and I had forgotten how much I loved this song and the whole soundtrack for that matter. I need to go dig it out of my box of CD's. I have a lot of memories attached to it from that time of my life. RIP Brandon Lee...

Picnic...

Photobucket
Yes it's breakfast for dinner...

Yes it's indoors...

... It's still a picnic.

The Fifteenth Time...

Photobucket
The kids and I had so much fun at Seven Peaks on Wednesday. I was in the pool with them the majority of the time and Maddy and I went on the "Cave In" and "Tube Run" slides a lot. There wasn't usually a line so we just kept going over and over. He loved the "glowing lights" in the "Cave In" and wasn't scared at all. He is my little slide buddy.

Photobucket
Maddy "water painting" his name.

Photobucket
This was the strangest thing ever... it has never happened before and I doubt it will ever again. Avery just came over to the towel, laid down and went to sleep. I thought she might be getting sick or something. We went home and she took a nap (Maddy and I did as well) and was fine when she woke up and was fine the next day. So I don't know if she was just really tired for some reason or came down with something minor. I'm so jealous of the olive (easily tanned) skin she got from her Daddy! I promise I cover both kids in SPF 50 every time we go.

Dentist...

Photobucket
Wednesday before heading to Seven Peaks both the kids had dentist appointments. They both did awesome and just held still while they got x-rays, cleanings, exams and fluoride. They were both so excited about their new toothbrushes and stickers. Maddy really liked the "squirt gun" that they used to wash his mouth out with. Neither of them had any issues or cavities and the Dentist said their teeth looked great.

Photobucket
I was especially surprised at how well Avery did (as you can see though she was in a pretty big hurry to get off the table.) Last year she freaked out and wouldn't even let them get her mouth open for long at all.

The Fourteenth Time...

Photobucket
We had lots of fun at Seven Peaks on Tuesday. It wasn't quite so busy and we were there almost four hours. I think Avery looks so pretty in the picture above-I can't believe how fast she is growing up! Notice the scraped up knee... she fell outside on Sat while we were celebrating the 4th. She is one tough girl though and getting hurt never slows her down for more then a minute.

Photobucket
My favorite part of the day was taking Maddy on the bigger tube slides. We had lots of fun and there wasn't much of a line so we went several times in a row. I also love people watching... and you definitely see some interesting people at Seven Peaks!

Photobucket
Claire and Avery had lots of fun playing together today... it's amazing something as simple as a plastic bottle can entertain kids for so long!

Photobucket
Once in a while we are bombarded by all the kids at once...

Iron Boy...

Photobucket
Maddy went to his friend Joshua's birthday party on Monday before we headed to Seven Peaks as a family. He had lots of fun playing on the blowup water slide and loved all the Iron Man stuff he got to bring home. He's had tons of fun playing with this mask (and ring!)

The Thirteenth Time...

Photobucket
Monday Steve only had a few clients because a lot of people were still celebrating the 4th of July since it fell on Sunday this year. So when he got home we decided to head to Seven Peaks. Maddy's favorite thing to do at Seven Peaks is hang out with Steve in the Wave Pool. We also had some relaxing fun in the Lazy River.

Photobucket
Avery and I mostly hung out at the shallow end... she is still afraid of the waves. On the way home we were all hungry and tired so we decided to grab a pizza and some snow cones... our favorite combination is blueberry, banana and coconut (with ice cream in the bottom!) A great Summer dinner if you ask me!

4th of July Weekend...

Photobucket
We had a pretty low key holiday weekend but it was still great! Saturday my sister Jamie and her family came over for a BBQ. Of course we had yummy food and fireworks. We had a great time hanging out and I even had Jamie make my toes cute again.

The sunset was so beautiful!

The kids absolutely loved the fireworks! They got so exited for each one!

After they left we took a little drive down near the Stadium and watched the Stadium of Fire fireworks.

Photobucket
I know you were just dying to see my toes so I made sure to take a picture on Sunday... haha!

Photobucket
Sunday evening our "Sunday night dinner and movie regulars" Mike, Brittany and Kaysen came over for another BBQ. Again it was yummy and they brought a Red Velvet cake and ice cream for dessert...

Photobucket
Family, friends, food and fireworks... doesn't get much better then that!

Music Monday: The Only Exception...

I've been really liking this song lately...

The Twelfth Time...

Photobucket
Friday was our twelfth trip to Seven Peaks. We caught a rare moment... the four older kids were sitting like this and so we hurried and put the younger two in the line and snapped a picture. Baby Cole is just missing from the picture.

Photobucket
My sisters Jamie and Stacy... we had lots of fun chatting, especially about Halloween costumes!

Photobucket
These pictures crack me up! I think the three crawling around were pretending to be dogs and Dallin was taunting and feeding them... too funny!

Photobucket
Towards the end of our day there was someone at the park that either almost died or died... we don't know all the details but there were lots of medics, CPR and such involved. We were all feeling sad and a bit sick about the whole situation. I don't want to end on a downer (cause it really was a good day for the most part) so I will leave you with this...
