Flashback Friday: Senior Trip...

Photobucket
For my Senior Trip we went to California. I remember we left at like 11 pm and drove all night long. It was seriously one of the longest nights of my life! I could not sleep on that bus for the life of me. I remember we stopped in Vegas for a bit and we just kind of wandered around Caesar's Palace. We finally arrived in LA at like 1pm and couldn't check into our hotel until 3pm so we had to go straight to the Dodgers game and we were all so tired. In the picture above I'm the one in the pink tank.

Photobucket
The bus ride. I'm kind of peeking my head out behind the girl in the middle. I remember music being played almost the whole time from the back of the bus. Especially that stupid Crash Test Dummies song(mmm mmm mmm.) It was seriously played over and over and over.

Photobucket
The Dodger's game. I'm clear to the left wearing the dorky blue hat(not the old lady with the glasses.)

Photobucket
Dawn and I at Venice beach. It was kind of an overcast day but it was still fun. We spent a lot of time watching some of the live entertainment and checking out all the cool shops.

Photobucket
Checking out some tee shirts. I'm on the right(the one with the serious look.) :)

Photobucket
I'm on the right again.

Photobucket
I'm in the back on the right.

Photobucket
Of course we went to Disneyland! It was actually my first(and only so far) time going to Disneyland. We also went to Six Flags which I loved. I love all the big roller coasters! Again I'm on the far right.

*I got the pictures for this post from my friend Dawn.
*For anyone that is interested I have added some pictures to my High School Reunion post a few posts down.

Lola Adele...

Photobucket

My sister Jamie had her baby today. It was exciting because they wanted to be surprised and not know if it was a girl or a boy until they had her. She is such a cutie! She looks just like her sister Claire. They are probably naming her Lola Adele(which I think is super cute) and she weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz. and was 19 inches long. Maddy and I went to see them at the hospital and Maddy was so excited to see his new cousin!

Whatever Wednesday: The Bachelorette...

Photobucket
So far I'm pretty annoyed with most of the guys. At least the ones that are getting most of the airtime.

Photobucket
Kiptyn is still my favorite. Didn't get much coverage this week other than a short make out session(Jillian mentioned that when she is with him she just wants to make out with him.) I'm pretty sure it was him at least. I tell ya it takes a while before I can keep everyone straight. Let me know if that wasn't him.

Photobucket
My number two spot(at least for now) goes to Jake. They seemed to really hit it off on their one on one date. I think he seems like a great guy... almost too perfect. But there is something that is off for me... haven't quite figured it out yet. Their date was awesome with the whole Martina Mcbride private concert. I however thought it was a bit awkward when he dove right in and laid a big smacker on Jillian while she was mid sentence. Did that bother anyone else? It seems as if he has already decided that they are soul mates.

Photobucket
As I suspected I was not impressed with Wes this week(DANG!) He is very arrogant and I'm thinking he might just be there for the publicity. He seems like the type that doesn't treat girls very well. Had he not already gotten a rose(Jillian is drawn to his bad boy appeal) I'm pretty sure he would've got the most votes from the other guys for who they wanted to go home.

Photobucket
Why did she not send Tanner P. home? He is a weirdo with a capitol W. I get that some people have foot fetishes but that is all he cares about... seriously! I wonder what his feet look like?

Photobucket
Does Brad bug anybody else? I will just leave it at that.

Photobucket
Brian sealed his own fate with his whole commando pool jumping experience. GROSS! Then he tried to kiss her right after? Gag!

Photobucket
David is a ticking time bomb! He has some serious anger issues and I was hoping he was going to get the boot. :(

Photobucket
Juan also bugs me. He is just a smooth talking cheese ball that is trying too hard. His whole piercing green eyes line was pathetic!

I'm hoping some of the guys that aren't getting as much airtime turn out to be good guys because so far I'm not impressed. What did you all think?

High School Reunion...

Photobucket
After the Scandinavian Festival on Saturday Steve and I went to my 15 year High School Reunion at the High School in Manti. There was a pretty good turnout with almost 40 classmates and it was fun catching up with everyone! There was good food, fun games, drawings, a slide show and of course lots of chatting. Thanks Emily and Tom for putting it all together!

Scandinavian Festival, Parade and a Birthday...

Photobucket
On Saturday we headed down to my parents bright and early for the Scandinavian Festival. The kids were pretty behaved on the drive down. We were hoping for nice warm weather but it was overcast and a little rainy. It wasn't bad though and we had lots of fun. First we went to the parade.

Photobucket
Everyone having fun at the parade. Stacy is always the life of the party! :)

Photobucket
Willie the clown. He's been coming to the Scandinavian Festival for years. Last year he made balloons for the kids at the festival. We didn't see him making balloons but he was in the parade.

Photobucket
Some of what we saw in the parade.

Photobucket
Avery watching the parade. Isn't the outfit my Mom bought her so cute!?!

Photobucket
Everyone hanging out and watching the parade. Nana and Papa had lots of fun helping the kids get lots of candy. We were even able to convince the hubbies to come this year. :)

Photobucket
It rained on our parade... but of course I was prepared! HAHA! :)

Photobucket
There was tons of yummy food to choose from at the festival. We ended up deciding on BBQ pulled pork/chicken dinners. We also had some yummy fry chips and Maddy had chicken nuggets. The adults had some yummy funnel cake and the kids had blue cotton candy. The picture above is of Maddy trying cotton candy for the first time. He was hesitant at first but of course loved it. He would make the cutest expressions on his face while it was melting on his tongue.

Photobucket
As you can see the cotton candy was a hit with all the kids! Love the top picture of my niece-she was so excited. Look how cute Maddy's expression is... yum yum!

Photobucket
I had shown Maddy the pictures from last years festival so he was so excited to go on the rides. He was whining about going on them the whole time we were eating. He was especially excited for the "airplane" ride. Once we got there and paid he decided he didn't want to go on the airplane ride? Oh well... he loved the swing ride. He held his head down with a small smile on his face pretty much the whole time it was so cute!

Photobucket
Avery watching the older kids go on rides and trying to climb over the fence.

Photobucket
The kids having fun. Check out Maddy in the top left corner with his head down.

Here is a short video of the kids on the swing ride... it might make you a little dizzy.

Photobucket
I love this picture! Maddy LOVES his Daddy! After spending a few hours at the Festival we headed back to my parents house. It was raining a bit and it was past nap time for all the kids so they were getting a little cranky.

Photobucket
Avery loved playing the piano at my parents house.

Photobucket
Hanging out at my parents house. As you can see the kids got quite the stash of candy at the parade. My Dad made the little chair Avery is sitting in-isn't it so cute! A few were lucky enough to get a nap... and I wasn't one of them. :(  The day before the festival we bought Maddy this toolbox full of tools. He insisted on taking it and all the kids loved playing with it!

Photobucket
It was also my sister Shalane's birthday. Happy Birthday Laney! We love you!

Photobucket
After resting and hanging out at my parents house for a while Steve and I went to my 15 year High School Reunion in Manti. We had a great time! I will post pictures soon. After the reunion we left for home around 9pm. Both kids were asleep(they were super tired after not having naps and being up late the night before) within 10 minutes of leaving and slept the whole way home. It was so nice! Steve and I could actually talk and enjoy the quiet.

Thanks Mom and Dad for having us all, we had a fun time! Thanks for watching the kids while Steve and I went to my reunion! Thanks for the yummy chips and salsa you sent us home with. Thanks everyone for your company and a fun time!

Photobucket
My favorite picture of the day!

Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day!

I'm so grateful for all those that have/are fighting for our Freedom and Country! We are so blessed! On Memorial Day I also always think of my family members that have passed away. I hope you all have a fun/safe day!

Flashback Friday: Recycled Trends...

Photobucket
Don't ya love my new sandals!?! I've always thought it was interesting how lots of styles come back(with a slight variation of course.) Gladiator style sandals were popular when I was a teenager and now they are back. Anyway, I loved them then and I love them now! :) Check out the pair I had when I was 17(1993)...

Photobucket

I also thought I would NEVER buy a pair of skinny jeans again...

Photobucket
Don't you love my pose and the greenery? HAHA! Still not sure if I love them but I got them for super cheap on clearance so I figured I'd give them a try. Here I am sporting a pair back in the day...
