Bachelorette Party...

Photobucket
I had my little Bachelorette party on Monday night. All my sisters(yes all of them... Jen is visiting from Texas :)) got together and watched the final rose episode of The Bachelorette. We had SO much much fun hanging out and eating and watching The Bachelorette. I think we all(except Stacy) thought Jillian was choosing Kiptyn. That's usually how it goes though... I think they purposly air things to fool us. I didn't really care either way. I felt bad for both Kiptyn and Reid. However after watching the "After the Rose" episode Jillian and Ed seem really happy together. I think he is best suited for her and hopefully it will work out for them. I'm hopeing Kiptyn will be the next Bachelor. What did you all think?

Photobucket
Of course we got goofy... Sisters are the bomb! I'm fortunate to have four! I don't think anyone gets you like your sisters do. :) I just wish we could hang out together more.

Photobucket
This cutie hung out with us. Doesn't he look so cuddly!

Photobucket
As you can see the boys can't party...

Photobucket
...like the girls can! :)

Discovery Gateway 7/22/09...

Photobucket
On Wednesday(7/22/09) my sisters and I took the kids up to Discovery Gateway in Salt Lake. After finally finding the place(we aren't familiar with The Gateway at all), we grabbed some lunch at the mall eatery and then headed over. There are so many different areas for the kids to have fun that it was almost overwhelming trying to keep track of all the kids. They had a blast though. We didn't get pictures of everything but here is some of the fun...

Photobucket
My sisters had fun dressing up and taking the photo op with the horse...

All the kids LOVED the little kitchen.

Photobucket
Maddy LOVED the gas station and spent quite a bit of time "filling up" over and over.

Photobucket

Photobucket
He also spent lots of time working the cash register in the little store.

Avery was challenging cause she would try and take off constantly and throw a fit whenever I stopped her. She ended up falling and hitting her mouth on the floor and her lip started bleeding. She cried for quite a while and ended up falling asleep.

Photobucket
The had a cool "Life Flight" helicopter that the kids loved playing in right before we left. I had a hard time getting Maddy out.

Photobucket
"And that a wrap... "

As we were leaving we didn't all make it into the elevator in time and Claire(2) and Maddy(3) took a little trip down the elevator themselves... and got out. We weren't sure what floor and had a small scare. Thanks Jamie and Stacy for an adventurous day...

Seven Peaks 7/20/09...

Photobucket
We've spent lots of hot summer days at Seven Peaks this year. It's a lot of work(loading, unloading, chasing, etc.) for us mom's but the kids love it!

SYTYCD 5.8...

This week the top six performed. Again they had to all perform four routines(two with their partners, male/female group routines and solos.) Both group routines were choreographed by Sonya Tayeh and I loved them. I'm going to keep it short this week since I'm trying to play catch up. Eliminated last week...

Photobucket
Janette & Jason
Very surprising if you ask me!

Photobucket
Kayla & Brandon's Contemporary Routine choreographed by Stacey Tookey was my favorite. It was performed to All I Want by Ahn Trio. It was about a mistress of a married man that doesn't have the strength to leave him. I think these two were on fire and it will be a shame if they don't make the top four! I even loved their Disco Routine. I agree that they are finally very well matched. You can check out the routine here.

Photobucket
Brandon's solo was my favorite! It got a standing "O" from the judges. Check it out here.

I think Melissa and Evan should be eliminated but you really never know who America is voting for. I can't believe a winner is chosen next week... I'm glad we will have a fall season to watch!

Whatever Wednesday: Excuses...

I've been a total blog slacker lately! I have all sorts of excuses...

Seven Peaks  3 times a week,
Other outings with my sisters,
My sister Jen(and family) visiting from Texas :),
Blog burnout,
Other reasons I won't bore you with.

I think this is the most I've ever been behind(which is discouraging as well.) I've got lots of posts I haven't even started. :( Hopefully I will feel up to blogging soon... Some of what is to come...

More Seven Peaks fun,
Discovery Gateway,
Bachelorette Party(all five of us sisters were together for the first time in a year),
The kids first visit to the dentist.

SYTYCD 5.7...

Photobucket
This week the top eight performed. They all had to perform four times(two routines w/partner, group routine and solo's.) There were two guest judges this week... Mia Michaels and Ellen Degeneres. We also got a sneak peek at tomorrows 100th episode celebration. I'm excited!

Eliminated last week...
Photobucket
Randi & Kupono
I guessed pretty good! Sad to see them go but I guess it was their time.

The show was kicked off by a group dance choreographed by Travis Wall. It was performed to Let It Rock by Kevin Rudolph feat. Lil Wayne. I thought this was a really fun number. Watch it here.

Photobucket
Ade & Melissa's Contemporary Routine choreographed by Tyce Diorio gets my gold medal. It was performed to This Woman's Work by Maxwell. It was about a women that had breast cancer. It was a very emotional piece and had everyone on the judges panel teary eyed. I admit to being a bit emotional myself. Watch it here.

Photobucket
Jason & Kayla's Hip Hop Routine choreographed by Shane Sparks gets my silver medal. It was performed to They're Everywhere by Izza Kizza. It was about zombies. I thought it was really fun and got me excited about the Halloween season. :) Watch it here.

Photobucket
Brandon & Jeanine's Pop/Jazz Routine choreographed by Laurieann Gibson gets my bronze medal. It was performed to Battlefield by Jordin Sparks. Watch it here.

Photobucket
Jeanine's Solo performed to Let the Drummer Kick by Citizen Cope was my favorite.

I'm thinking Evan will be in the bottom four but I have no clue who else? I was thinking Melissa and Ade until their contemporary routine. I'm thinking that might possibly save them.

Bachelorette: Men Tell All...

Photobucket
Some of my thoughts...
There was definitely an overload of testosterone in the room.
I was a bit surprised at how vocal some of the guys were.
Drunk Ed(and other unseen footage) was pretty amusing.
I thought the guys were a little hard on Jake. I felt bad for him.
Glad the "Man code" was clarified! HAHA!
David is still quite the gem...
I'm bummed Reid wasn't there... wondering if it has anything to do with him coming back???
Wes of course wasn't man enough to show up!
I'm glad Jason and Molly are still together and happy(at least they say so.)
I'm ready to wrap this thing up!
I will be hosting a Final Rose Ceremony Party(leave a comment if you want to come.)

Seven Peaks 7/17/09...

Photobucket
We went to Seven Peaks again on Friday. The kids absolutely LOVED the Wave Pool! As soon as the waves would start Maddy and Dallin would go running to play in the waves. We spent most of the day there. All but Jamie and Lola are in the picture above. Here are a few others from the day.

SYTYCD 5.6...

Photobucket
This week the top 10 competed. It was the first week all the couples were switched up. I thought there were some good and some not so good match ups. There was also a routine performed by the top five girls(Bollywood-check it out here) as well as one done by the top five guys(African-check it out here), and solos by each contestant.

First off the two contestants that were eliminated last week...

Photobucket
Phillip & Caitlin
I thought Caitlin was going but must admit I was a bit surprised by Phillip. Not because I felt anyone deserved it more but I thought the judges would keep him for tour reasons. Turns out they get to go on tour anyway so I guess it makes sense. I think he is an awesome dancer but hasn't done as well in the other genres as the other guys have.

Back to this weeks episode...

Photobucket
My gold medal goes to Jeanine & Jason's Contemporary Routine choreographed by Travis Wall. This was Travis's(a former SYTYCD contestant himself) first time choreographing for the show. It was performed to If it Kills Me(The Casa Nova Sessions) by Jason Mraz. It was about two longtime childhood friends hooking up for the first time. There was a heart necklace used as a prop. I absolutely LOVED it! There definitely was a "burning fire" between them and you could feel the build up. I'm thinking this might be my new favorite! :) I admit I watched it quite a few times. Check it out here.

Photobucket
My silver medal goes to Janette & Ade's Hip Hop Routine choreographed by Tabitha & Napoleon. It was performed to Love Sex Magic by Ciara feat. Justin Timberlake. It was about a girl that had no funk until a spell was cast on her. They used Ade's pick as a prop and I thought it was very clever. Check it out here.

Photobucket
My bronze medal goes to Melissa & Brandon's Broadway Routine choreographed by Tyce Diorio. It was performed to Aquarius from Hair(The New Broadway cast.) It was very different but entertaining. Check it out here.

Photobucket
My favorite female solo was Kayla's performed to Rock Your Soul by Elisa. Check it out here.

Photobucket
My favorite male solo was Ade's performed to Unchained Melody by The Righteous Brothers. Haven't found on Youtube but if I do I will add link.

My guess for bottom three guys is...
Evan
Kupono
Ade

My guess for bottom three girls is...
Randi
Kayla
Melissa

*Note-those aren't necessarily my choices.

Let me all know what you thought. On a random note after seeing the previews for Fame(which comes out in September) again I have to admit I'm exited to see it. I'm thinking it will be a good excuse for a girls night out... who wants to come?

Seven Peaks...

Photobucket
On Tuesday my sister's and I took the kids to Seven Peaks. I wasn't going to buy a pass this year but caved and decided to. We figured with as often as we are going to be going swimming and how much fun it is, it was the best way to go. It is the last year Maddy will be free so I only had to buy one for me. We got them pretty cheap. Us big kids plan on taking turns going on the bigger slides and having some fun ourselves. :) Here are some pictures from our first trip.

Photobucket

Photobucket
My favorite picture! Maddy is such a fish and would stay all day if I would let him! We spent a bunch of time at the bigger kid area and he went down the slides non stop. As usual he was the last one out of the water when we were leaving. He was also begging to go again today but I figured we better not because we all got a little burned. :(

Stacy had some fun with Jace and Maddy in the tube slide... I had some fun editing this picture. :)

Can you tell it was nap time?

Photobucket
Everyone taking a break and eating some snacks. We ended up staying for about four hours. Fun times!
