Today was one of those days that just when you think things can't get any worse they do...
Yesterday I had one of those days where all I did was clean up all different kinds of messes. Some of these messes included 3 of Avery's poopie blowout diapers(one of which ended up leaking into her highchair and I didn't know about it until dinner time when for some odd reason Maddy wanted to eat dinner in her highchair instead of at the table on his booster seat-as I put him in the high chair his foot landed right in her poop and caused a meltdown on his end), getting barfed on 3 times by Avery(she still hasn't outgrown her reflux) and all the usual toddler messes and meal messes. When Steve came home from work he even sensed what kind of a day I was having and asked if I needed a hug and told me that as soon as the kids were in bed I needed to go to bed too. When I went to bed last night as I fell onto my pillow I thought tomorrow will be a better day...
The day that was suppose to be better started out worse. I went in to get Avery out of her crib and saw that she was covered in poop. It had leaked out of her diaper, through her onesie and out of her pajamas. I don't quite know how but it was everywhere. It was on her sheet, doll, etc. So I gave her a bath and got her and Maddy breakfast and put her down for her nap. I pulled off every one's sheets(Maddy's had pee on it) and threw in a load of laundry. Next I headed out to mow the lawn. After about 10 minutes of trying to start the lawn mower I realized it needed gas. I filled it up and then tried for another 5 minutes to start it and finally it started. After I got the lawn about halfway mowed I glanced over at the garage to see what Maddy was doing. He had poured out all the weed eater gas(gallon) all over the garage floor and was swishing it around with his hands. I scooped him up quickly and took him in the house to get him cleaned up. Luckily I caught him before he put his hands in his mouth or touched his eyes. After I got him cleaned up Avery was awake from her nap so I went in to get her and as I picked her up I heard and felt her stomach gurgle. As I was placing her in her highchair(which I had just gotten cleaned, sanitized and put back together due too her poop incident the day before) she threw up again all over the highchair and floor. So I cleaned up the mess, got her fed and quickly headed outside to finish mowing the lawn. Maddy had been in and out of the house and when I was finally finished I went back into the house to find the mud he had tracked all over the tile and carpet in the living room. After I cleaned up the mud I went to put the laundry into the dryer and opened up the washer and saw that the middle rod and come off and broke into 3 pieces(I might have overloaded it with all the sheets and bedding I threw in there.) I put it back together as best as I could and then saw that Avery had another blowout. This all happened before noon...
Finally by 1:15 the kids were both down for naps and I had a little time to myself to relax and try and muster up enough patience and energy for the rest of the day...
At about 3:45 while on the phone with my mom I went in to get Avery from her nap. You guessed it-she had another blowout. I'm wondering if she's not feeling well because I swear she is pooping and throwing up more than she is eating these last few days. I quickly got off the phone with my mom and got her cleaned up yet again. Shortly after Maddy got up from his nap he came in and informed me that "the pee was come out"(of his pants). I changed his diaper right before his nap so it had only been about 3 1/2 hours(we seriously need to start limiting his fluid intake.)
Two more blow outs later and the kids are finally in bed...
Here's to hoping tomorrow will be a better day...

So how many total blowouts between the two days? I am sorry, it makes for a rotten day but a really good post on your blog. Tomorrow will be better.
Oh my!!! I'm so sorry you had such a rough couple of days. I can totally sympathize! You can't have too many of those in a row....can you? I hope things are getting better for you and that Avery is feeling better.
How is Avery feeling today? Steph, call me! I live right next door and I am more than willing and happy to come and help you out anytime. For ANY reason! Sorry you had one of "those" days. It does make a great blog. Talk to you soon!
Wow, that is some serious Mommy duty. Try putting your kids in bigger diapers - at least that's what I do, Chaz at 9 months wears a size 4 and 5 and night. The bigger the diapers are, the more pee pees and poohs they hold so less chance of a blowout or leakage.
You are very ambitious to try mowing the lawn in the first place, I would never go that far w/two lil babies. Hang in there cuz your life will be so much easier in about another year.
I am sorry about your no good, terrible, rotten, poopy days! So, how is today going? If not any better you need to treat yourself to a day at the spa!
Sorry about your day. I think we all have those days -some more than others. Hang in there, once they're potty trained it's all down hill from there. You should bring Madddy over when your're ready to pop. Copper loves to play with him. Hope your days are better.
Wow! You amaze me! All that and you still mowed the lawn! I am sure I would have let that one slide. Hope Avery is feeling better!
