Funnies: "Where did it go?" "Stephanie." "Two minutes."

After Maddy quickly throws something behind his back or hides it in his pocket...

Maddy: "Mom, where did it go?"
Me: "I don't know, I can't see it!"
Maddy: "Mom, where did it go?"
Me: "I don't know, may be it is lost!"
Maddy: "Mom, where did it go?"
Me: "I don't know, may be it is hiding!"

Maddy tries to sneakily grab it or pull it out of his pocket...

Maddy: "Mom, here it is!"
Me: "Wow, great job, you found it!"

Maddy repeats this process over and over through out the day with different objects...

While I'm busy unloading the dishwasher...

Maddy: "Mom (pause), Mom(pause), Steph(pause)anie, (pause) Stephanie.
Me: "What did you just say?"
Maddy: "Stephanie"(says very quietly).
Me: "Did you say Stephanie?"
Maddy: "Yes, Stephanie."

This was the first time he has ever said my name. It sounded so cute coming out of his mouth because he said it so quietly and slowly(like he was making sure he said it right.)

While reading stories in the rocking chair before his nap...

Me: "Ok Maddy, it is nap time lets put the books away."
Maddy: "Wait momma, two more minutes(as he holds one finger in the air.")
Me: "Two minutes or one minute?"
Maddy: "Two minutes(as he holds one finger in the air.")
Me: "Ok, two more minutes(as I hold two fingers in the air.")
Maddy: "Ok, two more minutes(as he holds two fingers in the air.")
