Halloween 2010...

We had such a fun Halloween this year! Steve came up with the idea for our costumes again this year. He wanted to do a retro/disco/70's theme. I love that he enjoys dressing up now. I had so much fun finding costumes for us all and have been looking forward to Halloween for months now. Steve is very particular on what he wants to wear so I had my work cut out for me and spent hours online but in the end it was definitely worth it! We went to a party at my sister Stacy's house on Sat. (Halloween fell on Sun. this year so in Utah most people celebrated it on Sat.) Here are some pictures from the night including everyone in their costumes...

Yes those yellow pants and shirt are vintage... straight from the 70's.

Steve got inspiration for his look (with the fro added) from Deee Lite in the video for Groove is in the Heart. He's the guy wearing yellow pants towards the beginning of the video (with the weird bun like thing on his head. He also just had to have the "Deomonia Creeper" shoes like the ones he's wearing in the video. Steve actually owned a couple pairs (different pattern) of them while he was on his mission.

My sister Shalane has this cool "retro" setting on her phone and took these pictures. I love them- thanks Shalane!

Such a stud!

I had a hard time finding a costume for Avery. She's so skinny that everything was bound to be baggy on her. I finally found this cute "Cher" dance outfit on Ebay and just had it hemmed a little (thanks Shalane.)

Saturday 10/30/10

My brother Shawn as "Joe Dirt." He seriously had his hair cut like this two days earlier just for Halloween... I'm just glad he plans on cutting it off soon!

We were all tripping out over her black contacts. It made her look so different and creepy. She looks like a totally different person.

My brother Justin as "Roy Orbison." My Dad is a huge fan and so we heard lots of his music growing up... he still breaks it out when we go down to visit.

The other Burrup's as "Mr. Smee," "Peter Pan," "Tinkerbell," "Pixie Dust" and "Tiger Lily."
