So I finally got my cleaning/organizing "recipe box" out of the cupboard (where it has hibernated for a long time) and gave it a go again this week. It makes it so much easier to be organized and keep up on the cleaning. It also makes you feel so accomplished when you see everything you have gotten done. I took an organizing class quite a while ago and this was one of the methods we learned. You set up a box with tabs for "Daily," "Monday" through "Sunday" and "January" through "December." Then you make a recipe card for each task you want in the box. On the left hand side you write the task (ex. "laundry,") and on the right hand side you write the frequency you want the task done (daily, weekly, monthly etc.), and then file it behind the correct tab. The tasks you want done on a weekly basis you choose which day you want it done on and put it behind that tab. For example "Clean Kitchen" (Monday), "Bathrooms" (Tuesday), "Laundry" (Wednesday), etc. For monthly tasks you put them behind the month you choose.
Every day you pull out the tasks you need to get done , starting with daily (those things you do everyday like "Unload Dishwasher," etc.), then on to that particular day, month, etc. as you have time. Then put them back in the box behind the correct tab when they are complete. It is such a great system! I use it for everything from routine cleaning to annual Dr. check ups, oil changes, etc. If you want to try it out and have any questions don't hesitate to ask!

That's a great idea! I will have to give it a whirl. I feel like I am so far behind on EVERYTHING and don't know how to get caught up. Hopefully this will help.
